Hole #1 - 534 Yards Par 5
This medium-length Par 5 plays slightly downhill to a well-bunkered green that falls from front to back. Reachable in two for longer players, the second shot must negotiate a cross bunker short and left of the greensite.
Hole #2 - 432 Yards Par 4
(Signature Hole)
A medium-length Par 4 that plays along water left of the landing area and right at the green. Tee shots that bail out right will be left with a long, second shot over water. The more the tee shot flirts with water left, the better the angle in. A small pot bunker short of the green will further influence shot selection.
Hole #3 - 605 Yards Par 5
At over 600 yards from the tips, this long Par 5 demands three shots of well-executed golf. With water all along the right side and a 150-yard long beach bunker leading to the slightly raised green, this hole will certainly play as one of the most difficult.
Hole #4 - 373 Yards Par 4
A very dramatic short Par 4 with plenty of the strategy. A beach bucker and water run the entire length of the hole from tee to green. Tee shots playing safe to the left will come to rest behind a large, bunker-strewn mound making the second shot totally blind. Tee shots kept right will leave an open view and long hitters may opt for the bold play of flying the mound entirely, potentially driving the green. The hole also offers a spectacular backdrop of the Mission Hills Hotel.
Hole #5 - 487 Yards Par 4
A long Par 4 with long waste bunkers along the right side. Approach the green with a left-to-right shot but be aware of carrying the bunker short left of the greensite. A large fairway cut left of the green provides a bail-out away from the deep right edge bunker.
Hole #6 - 122 Yards Par 3
A very short Par 3 featuring a wild, well bunkered greensite set at the water's edge. Proper placement on the appropriate tier of the green will be necessary to avoid severely breaking putts.
Hole #7 - 393 Yards Par 4
This medium-length Par 4 is protected along the entire right side by water and features a menacing grouping of bunkers long and left off the tee. Play safe and short off the tee leaving a short club to the green.
Hole #8 - 197 Yards Par 3
A long Par 3 along the water's edge to a long, somewhat narrow green protected by both water and deep pot bunkers. Should prove to be another of the difficult front nine holes.
Hole #9 - 422 Yards Par 4
This long, left-to-right Par 4 is bunkered at the turn but provides a big slope of fairway left. A long bunker runs from landing area to green, setting up a difficult carry for the second shot. A large fairway cut right of the green provides ample bail-out.
Hole #10 - 553 Yards Par 5
A big, long roundhouse right-to-left dogleg Par 5 that wraps water on the left from tee to green. Ample bail-out for play to the right exists but will make for additional length in negotiating the hole. The greensite is perched above a rock edge wall with bunkers in behind. A two-shot hole for only the longest of the players with great skill and bravado!
Hole #11 - 520 Yards Par 5
A reachable Par 5 at 520 yards from the tips. Playing left-to-right from a chute of mounds and trees, the second shot must pick a point to negotiate a long waste bunker that sets up angles of attack to the green. A small pot bunker left of the green will dictate third shots and require loft to back pin placements.
Hole #12 - 198 Yards Par 3
This long Par 3 features a long, sandy waste area framed by vegetated slopes leading to a green set in at a left-to-right angle favoring a slight fade. This strong visual hole features a long view backdrop to the Mission Hills property.
Hole #13 - 545 Yards Par 5
A double dogleg Par 5 of medium length that sees water right of the first landing area before it wraps left to a well-bunkered greensite. Second shots must be well-placed favoring the right side of the fairway to leave the best approach.
Hole #14 - 164 Yards Par 3
What may prove to be the signature hole, this medium-length Par 3 plays from a slightly elevated tee to a peninsula green protected right, left and short by water. The rock-walled greensite has a severely undulated green and a wonderful backdrop of dense trees and long views of golf.
Hole #15 - 355 Yards Par 4
A slightly blind tee shot played over a pot bunker-protected mound to a landing area with bunkers left and a long waste right stretching to and wrapping around the greensite. Tee shots played right will leave the best approach angle to the small green. Balls played left will leave a slightly blind second shot hiding a severe depression short of the green.
Hole #16 - 209 Yards Par 3
Long, uphill, water, pot bunker, everything is waiting for you on this Par 3. A big carry over water is required to negotiate the hole protected by a small but devilish pot bunker at the right edge. Surrounded by severe slopes of fairway cut, this greensite will demand second shot perfection of any tee shot not finding the green surface. Last hole nerves will definitely show here. Again, a spectacular backdrop of dense vegetation and numerous golf holes.
Hole #17 - 467 Yards Par 4
A long, uphill Par 4 playing to a greensite protected left by a series of deep bunkers. Plenty of room off the tee but the combination of length and slightly uphill will create a very demanding hole.
Hole #18 - 429 Yards Par 4
Finishing at the base of the hotel / clubhouse complex, this uphill, medium-length Par 4 demands a long tee shot in order to set up a lofted club second shot to the well-protected greensite. A deep bunker in front will require an exacting second shot, especially to any right-side pin placements. A very strong finishing hole to a very demanding course.
