April 20, 2007 (Dongguan)：The 4th Mission Hills Golfathon Kick-Off Ceremony was unveiled in Mission Hills Golf Club Dongguan Club House Tournament Square hosted by Mr Tenniel Chu, Executive Director of Mission Hills Golf Club, with passionate support from hundreds guests, golfers, sponsor representatives from Callaway, Watsons Waters, celebrity golf players from Hong Kong and China include Fiona Yuen, Linda Wong, Deng Le Jun, You Yong, Ning Jing to name a few.
Since its establishment in 2004, Mission Hills Golfathon has gained significant popularity. Coming into the fourth edition this year, Mission Hills Golfathon has turned itself into a traditional tournament at Mission Hills. With the slogan of “The Ultimate Golf Challenge In The World”, Mission Hills Golfathon is widely recognized by its uniqueness and significance of the “Iron Men” credential. In 2006, more than 120 participants finished 9 qualifying rounds within 7 days, while some of them even completed 9 rounds within 4 days. Participants of this year’s Golfathon will enjoy the golf experience in Olazabal Course, the official golf course of Omega Mission Hills World Cup. 100 finalists will be rounded off in Norman Course, the most challenged golf course in the region.
The 4th Mission Hills Golfathon will be taken place from May 1 to August 31, with final round staged in September 9. Even before the tournament, a record breaking enrollment of over 1000 participants from more than 20 countries were registered already.
