Mission Hills Makes Available Innovative Kangaroo TV for Spectators at the
Omega Mission Hills World Cup

Portable handheld TV available to media and guests at precedent-setting golf event

(23 November 2007, Dongguan, China) Mission Hills Golf Club, China, the World’s No. 1 golf club, is today delighted to announce a partnership with Kangaroo TV Europe Ltd to provide the state-of-the-art Kangaroo TV to spectators at the prestigious Omega Mission Hills World Cup. The handheld multimedia device will be used by select participants on the Club’s championship Olazábal Course from November 22 to 25, 2007.

Kangaroo TV is an easy-to-use, portable device that receives live audio, video and data streams, allowing the user to “jump” between various screens to follow the golfers as they make their way around the championship course. It will feature exclusive live footage from different camera angles, up-to-the-minute scoring, live tournament commentary, hole/course maps, and even weather forecasts.

This is the first time such ground-breaking technology will be available at an Asian golf tournament, reinforcing Mission Hills’ status as the continent’s leader in golf innovation. The partnership with Kangaroo TV comes on the heels of the Club’s agreement with the International Federation of PGA Tours to host the Omega Mission Hills World Cup for a 12-year term.

The Kangaroo TV experience will permit spectators to follow the 28-team field, as it challenges key areas of the Olazábal Course, a par-72, 7251-yard layout designed by two-time Masters Champion Jose Maria Olazábal. For the first participation of Kangaroo TV at the World Cup, coverage will be specific to the expansive “clubhouse” area, fifth, and 18th holes. As the project develops in the future, the coverage area will grow along with the availability of the Kangaroo TV devices for public rental.

Tenniel Chu, Executive Director of Mission Hills Golf Club, China: “The agreement to use Kangaroo TV’s cutting-edge technology to further enhance the viewing experience in the Omega Mission Hills World Cup is testament to our place at the forefront of the golf revolution in China, where the burgeoning market will support it.”

“We are incredibly proud to be able to unveil Kangaroo TV for golf fans,” adds Tenniel Chu. “This is indicative of Mission Hills’ plan to increase the popularity the great game of golf in China and further the sport worldwide.”

Mark Lichtenhein, PGA European Tour Director of Broadcasting and New Media agreed: “Following the very positive feedback we received at the first Kangaroo TV trial at the HSBC World Match Play Championship at Wentworth recently, we are looking to work with more tournaments to enhance the spectator experience on course. The Omega Mission Hills World Cup of Golf represents a superb opportunity to continue this strategy and we look forward to bringing our Chinese audience closer to the game than ever before."

“Kangaroo TV is honoured to collaborate with the Omega Mission Hills World Cup, and impressed by the approach Mission Hills is taking to deliver the best coverage of the event with the spectator in mind,” states Alain Charette, Vice President of Corporate Development and GM of Kangaroo TV Europe. “Match play and stroke play are perfect for the Kangaroo TV service. With multiple matches being played, viewers have the choice of which match to follow, and whether to walk the fairway or stand near a green. Kangaroo TV allows them access to all live play. This is yet another proof that Kangaroo TV is committed to branching into major golf tournaments around the globe.”
