Australian Younan-Wise Expected to Be Champion
Of the Second Mission Hills Asia Pacific Amateur Open

(6 December 2007 – Shenzhen, China) Australian Jake Younan-Wise is the firm favourite going into the final stage of the second annual Mission Hills Asia-Pacific Open Amateur Championship, which is being played out over the Club’s World Cup Nicklaus Course. Carding 68 today Younan-Wise was able to retain his lead with a par score of 212, after sinking 9 birdies and an eagle at the sixth.

In second place, Taiwan’s Tao Hunag finished play with a par score of 69, and one stroke off the lead at 213. Third place Jung-Ho Yoon of Korea had less luck on the course noted for the demands placed on accuracy closing play on 77.

With only four points between the Championship’s leading three players you can expect a gripping finale with the contenders pulling out everything in their arsenal to clinch victory and also the coveted prize of an exemption in the 2008 Australian Open.
